Hi, I’m Calley!

Did you write a book? Are you wanting some fresh eyes on it? Then you’re in the right place!

Dear Author,

If you’re here, you finished a manuscript or are pretty darn close. Welcome! Congratulations! Whether you wrote a novel or a legacy project or just something for yourself, finishing something is an incredible accomplishment. I see you, and I celebrate you. And I’m here for you for the next step of your journey.

As an editor, I have an attention to detail, from commas to accidental double spaces. As a creative writing student, I can edit from the standpoint of a craftsperson. Also, I am familiar with a workshop setting and I know what kind of feedback is constructive and useful. As a reader, I am invested in the story. I pride myself on being diligent and doing my job well. I enjoy what I do. My edits are well-rounded to ensure flow, continuity, readability, and an absence of grammatical errors.

I have four years of experience editing professionally and am trained in the Chicago Manual of Style.

About me

I’m a graduate from the University of Mississippi with double majors in international studies and Spanish and a minor in creative writing. I spent most of my childhood with my head in a book , started editing and writing professionally working for a newspaper in high school, continued to edit for a newspaper as a freshman in college, and began editing books shortly after. I started my first novel at fifteen and finished and published it by twenty. I am querying one book and working on the second draft of another. When I’m not editing, writing stories, or reading every book I can get my hands on, I’m out hiking, going on my hot girl walks while plotting my rise to the NYT Bestsellers’ List, or chasing sunsets while trying to figure out how to simultaneously have a cute, quiet, cottage core life and be a world-traveling adventurer.
